Boutique hotel look renovation and update of an old existing townhouse in Utrecht, The Netherlands.

While the owners still lived in another country, they trusted Yeh Design to take on this full-service makeover. From sketch design, final construction, and building of the bespoke furniture to advice on the furniture, accessories, and styling.

The client chooses a subtle boutique hotel decor whilst respecting authentic Dutch architecture. By thinking smart about the design and usage of the rooms, and using the correct colours and materials, the house became alive again. Because of the interior design, heritage architecture became the hero again.

The townhouse was an outdated place – it could have as well been a bed and breakfast – but it is now a warm home to a lovely family with two young kids.
